FabPatch Oy’s FabPatch™, manufactured in Finland, has been selected as the winner of the Clothing & Wellbeing category in the Finland’s Most Sustainable Product competition. The independent Sustainability Panel of the Osta Vastuullisesti (Buy Responsibly) website rewards solutions that support sustainable lifestyles and make sustainable choices easier in everyday life.
Sustainability Panel: FabPatch™ Normalizes Everyday Repair
In its selection, the Sustainability Panel highlighted FabPatch™ patches’ domestic production, material, and the way the product normalizes everyday repair:

Repairing Is an Important Everyday Act of Sustainability
Normalizing repair is at the core of FabPatch Oy’s work. A significant part of textiles’ environmental impact comes from their short lifespan, and extending that lifespan is one of the most effective acts of sustainability. FabPatch™ offers an easy solution that brings garments back into use instantly – the patch is applied by rubbing, anytime and anywhere.
“This award is an important recognition of an everyday act of sustainability. Repairing may feel like a small decision, but its impact is great: when a garment is repaired, it doesn’t need to be replaced with a new one, and less textile waste is generated. We want to make repairing so easy that it becomes as normal as doing laundry,” says FabPatch Oy’s CEO Taija Sailio.
Growing Interest Reflected in Demand and International Expansion
The award reflects the increasing understanding of the importance of repair. The same development can be seen in FabPatch’s international demand and new partnerships: this is not only a Finnish phenomenon but part of a broader shift in repair culture.
Nearly 3 million FabPatch™ and FabPatch products have already been sold. In addition to its own collection, FabPatch manufactures repair products for more than 50 brand partners as well as for professional use. The newest partner brands include Satisfy, Craft and 1000Skis.
